Did you know that women are banned from singing in public in some countries, women cannot attend a concert in some places, and that the music industry is still unequal...
This is why Freemuse is focusing on women on Music Freedom Day March 3rd 2017.

As co-founder of Freemuse in 1998, Ole Reitov has documented violations on artistic freedom worldwide and lifted our awareness of the reality too many artists live under around the globe. He is a member of the UNESCO Expert Facility, and representative to the UN Human Rights Council. In 2012-2013 he was the expert consultant for the development of the first ever UN report on artistic freedom. His background is in broadcasting, music production and journalism with a vast experience from research and assignments in more than 40 countries.

In conversation with Helga Tunheim
